The Many Faces of Katy Perry

Katy Perry is the only female artist who managed to have six No.1 singles in Billboard Hot 100 in a single year through her album "Teenage Dream". Being a chart-topper is a feat in itself but Ms. Perry does it better with her colorful and playful fashion choices. Katy Perry sticks and stays true to her 40's pin-up girl style which suits her perfectly. This however does not limit her wardrobe as she creates a fun and feminine persona. Not everyone can do that but Katy rocks it.

Katy can readily transforms herself into a sex-kitten in some of her music videos, or a nerd girl in "Friday Night", or effortlessly switch to a lacy dress in "Fireworks" but still look fabulous. In fact, Katy Perry is the only celebrity who can rock a pink hair while playing a guitar singing "The One That Got Away" in promotional tours. She definitely could look absolutely amazing in anything without trying too hard.

Katy Perry described her style as "a bit of a concotion of different things" and it worked well for her. Most of her styles can be categorized as retro as she loves to get fashion ideas from years back like 50's or 80's. She is also often seen incorporating food or certain fruits in her cloth designs. In the Teenage Dream album cover, Katy is seen posing with cotton candies, cakes and other sweets.

Vintage fashion is also one of Katy's favorites as she channels the ultimate pin-up girl in most of her appearances whether it be a short rompers of floor-length gown with a thigh-high slit. Aside from that, Katy can be seen wearing whimsical dresses in bold colors that suits her fancy and manage to get away with it most of the time in Katy fashion! While some artist are criticized for going overboard with their fashion taste, Katy Perry's style doesn't leave a bad taste in the mouth. It will just bring a smile to lit up your face as you are reminded of colorful rainbows and sweet candies.
