Space-saving furniture are much in demand due to the fact that homes are getting smaller especially in urban areas. One main reason is the influx of people to go to cities, hence real estate developer serve this increasing demand and profit from it by offering much tinier living spaces.

It is no wonder that high rise and condominiums have become popular. With space as a luxury, creative ideas, designs and furnitures come in handy. Moreover, people have to make do with the limited spaces and naturally they want multi-functional and practical pieces.

High-rise living would therefore be enjoyable if a person has a well-designed unit that makes efficient and effective use of space. The designers of these furnitures have in mind the consumer who really has no choice but to live in a small space but still do comfortably. Some of these may not come really cheap, but so does everything these days. A space saved can go a long way to give one's that perfect home atmosphere, whatever kind of home one has.

That last video is amazing! Not sure I'd want my desk full of homework hanging over me all night while I'm sleeping from a symbolic, feng shui perspective, but some of those other ideas are really cool.

Yes, LoveOurPlanet, the last one (video) is definitely a seller. I have the same reservations with the Computer-Desk Bed as it might not be able to support a fully-grown or a heavier person. Thanks!

I liked the "Coffee table and four cushions" picture. I'm trying to imagine myself using that concept for additional things, too...
