Decoding 'Mr. Right Now'
62You know the type, the guy who dazzles women at a party or bar, throws pick-up lines like tonight is the end of the world, but for some he is often 'Mr.Here-Tonight-Gone-Tomorrow'. Truth is, for him, you could just be one of his roster of 'Ms. I-Remember-The-Face-But-Whats-You're-Name-Again?'. What do you expect, he won't be called 'Mr. Right Now' for nothing.
Did you say you actually fell for him? Had a brief 'relationship' with him for a week or two, if you insist on calling it that. Sly 'Mr. Right Now' then flies off like a butterfly blown by a distant wind leaving you clutching at the only remnant of your short rendezvous -- his phone number at the least, or worst your tattered feelings.
There are many 'Mr. Right Now' walking in this world today. Like flighty birds ready to migrate at the sign of snow. But beware those silky words and promises make you dreamily fall head over heels are for most, empty. Before you are even aware of what's going one, poof!
You are lucky if he morphs before your eyes because most often, they simply disappear without a trace. Leaving one with a bad taste in your mouth, exactly the same one after you throw up when you had one drink too many. But never dispair if you get stung by him, the venom seldom lasts.
Let's play a game called -- Spot 'Mr. Right Now'
He is often good-looking, or thinks he is such. Another may think he is God's gift to women and are created for that purpose. Still another may think that he is just a slave, to eager to submit, with dire consequences for the untrained of course.
Look keenly and hard enough, beyond your lengthy black mascara, and you will see through the veneer carefully crafted. Smell the scent of danger ten feet away, run or stay and bewitched by his boyish smile and flippant ways. 'Mr. Right Now' will call you into this dance of passionate seduction, and you willingly submit and throw caution to the wind. Will you blame him? Maybe yes, maybe no. Can you claim innocence now?
One thing you must remember, 'Mr. Right Now' is on an everlasting hunt, like a lion waiting for his prey. Perhaps he is just visiting for the weekend on a business trip or maybe, just maybe, he might be a lonely fellow. It could be that he is just being his playful self. And no, definitely, he is not after your heart, even if it seems like he would move heaven and earth. Silly, he is just trying to catch your eye, and love is the least of his concerns.
'Mr. Right Now' disappears even before you can say 2nd date. Sweet words flow from his lips like pure unadulterated honey. He is made that way and if you fall by mistake, never despair dear, you are not alone. Believe in fairy tales, but 'Mr. Right Now' is no knight in shining armor. Take the knight put of that picture because he is more of the stallion ready to bolt and gallop away at the speed of light, without you on the steed, of course, what are you thinking.
And did mention that Mr. Right Nows are lurking everywhere, not just in bars. These days, you can find them nicely sitting behind their laptops, online checking out your profile photo in Facebook, following your Tweets, or even sitting across you at Starbucks.
Now I ask, tell me why would you want to wear your heart on your sleeve when 'Mr. Right Now' is around? Never make that mistake. He, for the life of him, will unknowingly tear it away. Will you fault him for taking advantage of that vulnerability? By all means.
Prone to emotional diarrhea and highly allergic to mind games? The prognosis is bleak, you won't stand a chance with 'Mr. Right Now'. Run as fast as you can.
I should know. I know a 'Mr. Right Now', but I prefer calling him 'Mr Hit-and-Run' because that easily takes out the romantic association with 'Mr. Right' . But really, for the lack of better words, 'Mr. Oh-So- Wrong' will do. And as for me, no thank you, all lines are currently busy for a 'Mr. Right Now.'

Wow, great definition. Thanks for so eloquently putting it into words. I think most of us have met this guy, and for men, I guess there is another name for the user type. You should never wear your heart on your sleeve for a guy you just met, and even the ones who profess caring about you and you let your guard down can still turn around and break your heart in a second flat. Love is a gamble, but the rewards are plentiful to those who choose the right person to give it to.
